APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL MAY 6, 2010
The New York Archives Conference (NYAC) and the Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (ART) are together offering six $100 competitive scholarships in order to enable more archives students, archivists, librarians, and others with archives or records management responsibilities to attend the New York Archives Conference June 2-4, 2010, at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Funds may go toward travel, lodging, meals, workshops, and conference registration. Each recipient is required to attend both meeting days (June 3-4).
Preference will be given to applicants who are:
•First-time conference attendees
•Permanent residents of New York
•Paid or volunteer employees working in an archival collection or records management position in New York
•Students enrolled in an archives administration or records management educational program in New York
All application materials must be received by 5 p.m. onMay 6, 2010, in order to be considered. Notification of awards will be made by May 11, 2010. (Note: You must be a current ART member in order to apply for that scholarship and may apply to only one of the two organizations for an award.)
